Sasha, the lady chef almost finish-finished

I received Sasha back from the finisher yesterday.  She is gorgeous--well, almost.  She's bald!!
I guess I just assumed the finisher would magically produce some hair for her.  Not his fault, mine for not asking.  So now to do some investigation and decide which of  several options  I'll do.  All suggestions will be gratefully considered.

Many of you probably don't remember Sasha.  I was shocked to find out that I stitched most of her starting in December 2010.  I bogged down on the white apron with the vegetables and utensils in the pockets--in a word, boooorrring.  In an act of extreme kindness, Macy finished her for  me this past winter.

  1. Sasha is wonderful! Her lack of hair doesn't bother me. But if it bothers you, why not scour a crafts store for a doll wig? You could tack it on the back.

  2. Hummmm.. Could you wind wet wool around pencils to create very long curls after they dry, then attach them with a curved needle, then put fringe on top to create bangs?

  3. Love it! I posted a link to your blog on Kreinik's Facebook page - maybe stitchers there will have some ideas. But she actually looks pretty good without hair! Great job on the stitching. Fun design!

  4. You could use a floss and braid it or tease it out. What about one of the fuzzy fibers to begin with? Then you could just quick stitch it under her cap. In one side, out the other. Or even just attach it on the front, pull it back and put a pretty bun (pun intended) on the back

  5. The bald doesn't bother me, either. I figured her hair was pulled back in a bun that's under her hat, as it should be. If you want hair, how about some turkey work or something similar below the hat? Or maybe wrap a braid around her head.

  6. First challenge for me would be: what do I want her hair to look like? Curly, straight, fuzzy, stringy, totally disorganized? along with length and color. Good luck on whatever you decide.
